PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I have a background in education, comedy and writing. I’ve been a high school Special Education and ELA teacher for the past nine years, but I’m taking some time off to nurture my newborn son and my creativity. I completed the full improv comedy program at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and I’ve taken Improv/Sketch Comedy classes at the Magnet Theater. I wrote sketches that were performed in the Magnet’s MOXIE Showcase for female/nonbinary performers in 2018 and 2021. My favorite pieces to write are short, non-fiction essays. Some topics I cover: love, womanhood, coming of age, body image, mental illness and grief. My inspirations are David Sedaris, Ottessa Moshfegh and Ilana Glazer
